This site is sort of the mutant lovechild of a lot of my different hobbies - photography, costume-making, and, uh, costume-wearing.

The site's name comes from a sound effect in Japanese manga, and I liked it much more than girlwhohastoomanyhobbies.com or thatgirlmustreallylikesailormoon.com ... so, yeah - I ran with it.

Unless otherwise noted, photos were taken by me - because taking photos is extremely fun.

Unless otherwise noted, all of the costumes I wear were made by me - I learned to sew through a lot of trial and error. Emphasis on the error part.

The costumes on this site are not for sale, sorry! Every once in a blue moon (actually, less frequently than that) I'll try to clean out my costume closet and sell a few. If I do I'll mention it on my costume journal and/or DeviantArt journal.

My name is Katie but on the magical internet-land I go by Zan or Saraqael (No, I have no idea how to pronounce that either, but you're welcome to give it a go). I really don't care which one of those you call me. I've been dressing up in costumes since I was very little (when I was convinced that Narnia was in my backyard) and it was just so much fun that I haven't stopped.

A lot of my costume projects have been pairs with my girlfriend, Kelly, since we both cosplay and we live together and that happens. I also happen to think she's pretty darn cool.

I live in New York (State, not City), grew up in Western Massachusetts, and went to school in Boston. I wanted to be a firetruck when I grew up, but strangely that isn't working out so well.

These are the best ways to get in touch with me. I don't use AIM very often (as in, maybe once a year), but I check my email regularly.

I originally put this site up in 2001 because I thought it would be really fun to make a website and collect my costume pictures somewhere. I honestly am amazed that anyone other than myself and maybe three other people have been to it, but over the years I've received so many emails and drawings and notes that are just beyond awesome. Really, it's pretty cool. So I just want to say thanks. A lot.
