I like Asellus... and her design is just so obnoxious and silly looking, I really wanted to try and be more accurate than my last Asellus costume (which, let's face it, was pretty unhappy looking). As it was, I felt like a clown on stilts- the shoes that I ordered for the costume didn't come on time, so I used the clear monster shoes that I wore for one of my Utena costumes. I fell over a few times in those. I'm sure it was entertaining for everyone around me at least- I was about as graceful as a ton of bricks. I really would like to fix up parts of this costume- the brown underjacket needs boning and trim, and the bodysuit needs to be remade entirely. I was pretty happy with the way the wig turned out though-! And my stupid pink and white clown collar was big and frilly like it was supposed to be- I'd also like to get photos with White Rose. Flower explosions are rather excellent.
