So, I was almost content with this costume until I put it on. I really don't like the wig- but it was a last minute thing so I don't feel that bad. My wig for this costume didn't arrive in time, so I sacrificed my old Utena wig to make this one. Sadly, my Utena wig is pretty old and was very balding in places- so this wig is very flat and dead and upset looking- very unlike Hikaru's hair. I'm not sure that I'll ever get back to finishing this costume- my motivation for it has kind of left. I went through the trouble of making Hikaru's little frilly slip/underskirt thing and am thrilled to say that you can't see it in any of the photos. Maybe that's a good thing? Yes, probably.
