I've been hooked on the HP books ever since the very first one came out and my little sister's friend in england brought us a copy... o__o fantasy/sci-fi stuff is where me and emily both started with costumes and such... we really wanted to dress up for the first movie, but we didn't get our act together in time, so we made them in time for the release of the second movie.
This was originally going to be a random Gryffindor student uniform, but my hair was cut like Hermione's so I sort of just ended up being her. ^__^
The cloak was made out of heavy black fabric and lined in warm black fleece (since I was going to be waiting outside at the premier of the movie for several hours - I wanted to be warm).
