Pre-Con || Friday || Saturday || Sunday
So
two days after I got back from Anime Next I ran off to California for crazy
wild times with Ashley & Co. before Anime Expo. We decided that we weren't
going to do the skit that we'd been planning on doing for... quite a while...
because it was just too much stress. Stress would interfere with our crazy
fun time. Crazy fun time clearly has priority.
We spent what seems like a lot of time dressing up in Hogwarts uniforms and
talking about the HP books... and just generally being dorky
HP lunatics that's a good thing. Then,
we also spent a lot of time eating chinese food. Or maybe that was just me?
But that's a bad thing.
Somewhere in that first week that I was there we made butterbeer and Ashley and Ludick's wands arrived from Japan (pretty) along with Ashley's time turner. Yeah, I'm sort of only saying this so that I can put up a picture of the time turner because it was sparkly.
Also
somewhere in that first week it struck us as a good idea to make Utena costumes.
Now, this may have been because we were eating too much Chinese food, but
I can't be sure. It also seemed like a good idea to make Mysteriously Vanishing
Star costumes.... conveniently... I brought wigs along with me that would
work for both costumes... ...conveniently...
We managed to make
a huge mess of
Ashley's house... what with everyone working
on several different costumes at once and people showing up to entertain us
at random, and us deciding it was a good idea to dress up like pirates and
discover why the rum was really gone.
Finally it was Expo time. A dementor
cleaned up the mess for us and we set off to
crazy adventures in Expo-Land with our costumes not
done. Or mine anyway.... I think everyone
else was done.
